The Birth of Cabo Rounded: A Font with a Personal Touch
As designers, we’ve all been there – working on a project, struggling to find the perfect font, and eventually deciding to create our own. This is the story of how Cabo Rounded came to be. Last year, I was redesigning my personal logo, and I wanted to upgrade my existing design from 2013, which was based on Helvetica. I started experimenting with shapes and strokes in Illustrator, and before I knew it, I had created a font that I just had to share with the world.

The Design Process
I began by recreating my logo, wanting to stay true to the original while giving it a fresh spin. As I worked on creating characters, I realized that the style I was developing could make a great font. I quickly got to work on completing the rest of the letters, and within hours, I had my first drafts ready. I was thrilled with how they turned out, and I knew I had to find a way to turn them into an actual font.
